Bulk Config Application

Scenario: We want to apply a config/script in bulk on resources with multiple selections. We can do this through Sechard.

For example, we want the Gpupdate /forcee command to be triggered on all Microsoft servers.

Let's go to Settings > Recipe > Recipes from the left menu.

Click on "Create Custom Recpes" by pressing the + button

select and fill in the relevant fields as follows.

In the Command field, type "Gpupdate /force" and finish with the Done button.

Go to Resource > Resources and select two resources that are more than one but in the same Family. You can select more than one resource by holding down the CTRL key.

After selection, click on "Bulk Configuration" in the top menu. If we select the wrong family, this button will not be active. Let's pay attention to this.

Select "Custom" in the category field and click the Get Recipes button.

Select the recipe we created from the list.

The 2 Resources we selected will appear in the list. Continue with Next.

11. Select Save Recipe Group.

12. With Run Command, we can run it at that moment or schedule it for a different time. We continue as Run in the example

The system will direct you to the Jobs section. Let's wait for the process to be completed by using the refresh button in this area.

Press the right button on the relevant task and click "Details".

14. Again, by right clicking on "View Result", we can enter the output of the applied command.

15. Related recipe is saved. If you want to apply this config on different resource sources, select a different Windows server from "Resource > Resources" and click Bulk Configuration again from the top menu. The recipe can be applied by selecting the created Custom recipes.
